Social Hub
Social Hub is the English-speaking unit of Interkultur i Lund. It is a volunteer-led community initiative that works to make Lund and the Greater Copenhagen Area more welcoming, connected and inclusive.
Because Community, Belonging and Engagement are what make a place feel like home.
Social Hub is open to all — internationals and locals alike — and brings people together across backgrounds, ages and experiences. Its mission is to create welcoming spaces where people build meaningful connections, grow as individuals and contribute to the local community. Everything Social Hub does is initiated by volunteers and shaped by the community.
Social Hub’s work is structured around six macro areas:
-
Language Training
-
Career & Jobsearch
-
Networking
-
Nature & Exploring
-
Body & Mind
-
Cultural Events
Beyond structured activities, Social Hub makes room for the informal side of belonging — the simple pleasure of doing things together. Meetups, members’ gatherings and spontaneous get-togethers give people a reason to show up and a place to bring their whole selves: a fika after work, a weekend plan, a celebration of a tradition from home, or company on a day that would otherwise have been spent alone.
For many, this matters most when family and old friends are far away — it is where a new network slowly becomes the everyday support system that makes a new city feel like home.
